A picture
is worth a thousand words. Offer camp parents and relatives a glimpse
into camp life by posting camp photos in your own password-protected
online photo gallery. Don't just tell parents their children are
having fun, show them! The online Photo Gallery is available at no cost to camp.
How does
the Online Photo Gallery work for Camp Directors?
Take photos with a digital camera and upload them directly to your
website for display in your camp's online Photo Gallery using Bunk1’s
easy-to-use web-based software. Organize your photos in folders,
add captions, and tag photos so parents can search for their children.
Upload as many photos as you’d like, as often as you’d like.
Why does
my Photo Gallery need to be Password-Protected?
Starting April 2000, the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) enacted
a law called the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act
(COPPA). This law requires that all websites take certain
measures to protect the identities of children under 13 years old.
If you are posting photos that are viewable by the general public,
you may be in violation of COPPA.
How does
the Online Photo Gallery work for Camp Parents and Relatives?
Once logged in to your password-protected photo gallery, parents
and relatives can view camp photos, save their favorite photos to
a personal folder, e-mail favorites to friends, and order high-quality
prints (an additional source of revenue to camps).
